Adventures in Dating a Married Man.....

There is no point in trying to hide it....I'm dating a married man.

Now don't get your panties in a bunch.  He's married to me.

Every chance we get to be alone we take it.  Those chances are few and far between....thanks to our three kids.

We planned a nice end of summer backyard picnic one Friday night while the littles were with their cousins and the oldest was at the school football game.
We sat down maybe 10 minutes before our oldest got home.  Her plans changed....and so did ours. :)

So, the three of us sat outside and enjoyed our little picnic.  And when I say the three of us I'm talking about my oldest, me and the dog.  My Rock ended up falling asleep on the couch.  He is an old married man afterall.  :)

Mommy tales....

The Time My Little Rock made Coke shoot outta my nose
So we play the "name the movie" game ALL the time.  I seriously mean ALL the time.  We watch movies A LOT! We have all the movie channels thanks to My Rock and AT&T U-Verse! Holla!!! Best thing to ever happen to me...you figure out which of the two I'm talking about. ;o)  So these last few weeks the kids have gone through quite a bit of movies using the free on demand feature. So some new quotes have been popping up here and there and making me realize I need to filter a little better what the girls are letting the boy watch.  But today there was a gem.  As I'm driving to Wally Mart I hear the following quote from the third row in the Nana Bus
"You know exactly who this is. You came into my house, you touched my child, You think your crazy? I'll show you crazy. Just try me, beep" (yes beep!!) I couldn't help it....I cracked up.  What the heck was my son doing quoting that movie?  My innocent, loving little boy.  10 points if you can name the movie. :D

The time I thought my heart would burst with pride.
Everyone calls B my mini me.  I don't see it...but I'll take it, it's a HUGE compliment to me.  When I look at the beautiful little girl my heart is so full of love and pride.  She is the most caring and loving little girl and I am so very lucky to be her Mommy.  Yes I know I'm biased...but you just have to know her to love her.  B has been wanting to cut her hair for quite some time, but has been putting it off.  She decided she wanted to wait until it was long enough to donate to Locks of Love.  It was finally time and we went to Rico's on 3rd (HOLLA!!!) and Ms. Raquel helped us donate 12 inches to a cause.

Here is my B before

 and here she is after

I couldn't be more proud of that little brat.  I swear just when I think she couldn't make me prouder she goes and pulls this out of her hat.  I cried.  I don't know if it was because I miss the hair, or because I'm so proud of her or because she no longer looks like a little girl. :(  She's my little lady.

The time my heart hurt
In 2 short days I will be putting my babies on a plane headed halfway across the United States.  They will be gone for 17 days. 17 freakin' DAYS!!!  What am I going to do?? I've been acting all happy and excited.  But inside my heart hurts each time I think about being away from them. I can't let them know how sad I am because they will feel bad and not want to go.  They are going to visit my dear sister in Nebraska.  When you think about it, it really is pretty silly that my kids are headed there instead of the other way around.  Wouldn't you think that the kids from Nebraska would want to head to San Diego for the summer?  Silly kids.  Anywho, the deal started because my niece had this great once in a lifetime opportunity to intern for Disney.  She was moving to SoCal for 5 months and my sister was a mess over it.  I told her it was high time she got her arse back to the best coast anyways.  She didn't go for it.  So I said "Send me yours and I'll send you mine".  Well she took me seriously and now my kids are heading out.
And my niece....well she ended up passing on the internship.  Why I outta.....

The time I was up until 4:00 in the moring writing a blog
that's right now and I'm not proof reading it.  Good night!
MUAH!!!

p.s. The quote from my last post was from Dirty Dancing! HELLO!!!! When Neil comes looking for Penny.

"She's on a break...she needed a break!"

If you guess the movie correct I will add you to my list of people I owe gifts to when I finally hit the lotto. :D

I have missed my blog world! I know I've said I would get better at blogging regularly but I must say....I really needed this time away from the computer.

I'm not going to announce "I'M BAAAACCCKKK" cause I'm really not.  I'm just stopping by for a visit.  To say hello and hope you haven't forgotten about me! I'll be back soon with a real post.  A Hump Day Happy perhaps?  I love those!

and I love you all!!!!

MUAH!

Mail bag....

Dear SoCal girls,
You are either hot or you are cold.  You can't be both.  Well...not at your age at least.  If you have shorts on do not wear Uggs.  Do not wear a flimsy cami with a scarf either.  It's stupid and so are you.

Love,
Captain of the "Oh Hex no she isn't not wearing that" Task Force

Dear college soccer/football/track athletes,
Yes I do clean my pool myself on the daily.  Yes it is a coincidence that it is always when you are out on the field working out.  Mind your own... and take off your shirts once in a while....I'd hate for you to have heat stroke.

Love,
Cougar in training

Dear Pool man,
Can you be a dear and park a few houses up from mine so that people don't realize that I have no reason to be in my backyard "cleaning my pool"?  Thanks love!

Love,
Cougar in Training, again

Dear Jr. High/High School kids that hang out by MY Subway,
I'm sorry that you are rude and horribly disrespectful.  It's too bad you had to learn the hard way not to mess with me or my Mama.  The point is you learned something.  I straight checked your punk a$$! If it happens again I won't be as nice.
Love,
The Regulator

Dear Earth,
I get it...we pissed you off.  Your point has been made, enough is enough.  Please stop shaking.

Love,
Seasick on solid ground

Dear safety patrol punks,
I see you daily on the corner...you must get it from your mama.  Yeah that was mean....doesn't feel to good does it?  My son likes to run.  So once he crosses the street I let him run from the corner to our house.  Is it really that funny?  He may win a gold medal one day....you will be obese and miserable on your couch.  Be mean to my boy one more time and you will suffer the wrath.

Love,
A VERY protective Mama bear

Dear all my old safety patrol buddies,
The put down in the letter above does not apply to us.  Just to punk brats who are super mean to adorable 1st graders.

Love,
1992 Captain of the Safety Patrol

Dear Lovely Blog Readers,
I'm sorry I suck at blogging and commenting.  Who knew that I'd be even more busy now that I don't have a 9-5?  Sometimes I miss my government job that allowed me 5 hours of my day to blog surf, facebook stalk and play farmville.  I will do my best to get around to commenting at least once a week. Deal?

Love,
Busier than a one armed....

Dear Glee,
I've waited for you for so long...please don't disappoint! That is all.

Love,
Future Mrs. Shu II

Shake, rattle and roll....

Easter was wonderful.  The family was all over at our house for delicious food, swimming and egg hunting.  It was a beautiful day.  Up until the shaking started.  The 7.2 magnitude Earthquake was centered about 114 miles from my house.  It felt a whole lot closer.  Within minutes my well trained children were under the kitchen table with their backs to the windows.  They even brought Buster in from the backyard.  I wish I had a picture of the 7 kids and 1 dog crammed under the table in their Sunday best.  It's funny now...when it was happening it was a little scary because we didn't know how bad it would get.

The rest of the day was filled with aftershocks and I was nauseous from all the swaying.  It felt a little like being on a boat.  The waves in the pool were pretty cool though.  Wish I would have videotaped it.
Monday morning there was an aftershock at about 4:15am that was strong enough to wake me up.  Last night eating dinner another strong one...then another strong one at bed time just to remind us.  They just keep coming and I'm over it. :D

Here is a picture to give you a little bit of an idea how much shaking is going on.

Happy Easter!!

Isn't it hilarious that Twilight stuff is EVERYWHERE?  Even on an Easter greeting.  It made me giggle and I hope you did as well.

This season of Lent seemed to have just flown by.  I kept all my Lenten promises and I will continue to live with the changes I have made in my life.  However, since it's been a VERY long time since an ice cold Coca Cola Classic has touched my lips....today after Mass I will be going to 7-11 and getting me a Big Gulp! Woohoo!!! :D

Have a wonderful Easter everyone!

Insomnia at it's finest

It's 2:40 in the morning and I can't sleep. What better time than now to test out writing a post from my iphone? I've already facebook stalked everyone who is interesting. I've caught up on all I missed on Twitter...well kinda. I haven't been very loyal to my Twitter so I'm pretty sure I've been forgotten by most. I'm not even on any cool lists anymore. :( anywhoodle posting this random nonsense reminds me of when Jake did a post from Sanders iphone....except since it's all out now that they aren't who they had claimed to be I wonder if he was just bored one night like me. So he made his post a whole lot more infesting than my ramblings. However, he was quite truthful when he said he couldn't proofread his post, it is quite difficult and I honestly don't feel like making the effort. :D

Random thoughts:

My kids are on vacation. We all lived through week one. One more to go...pray for us.

I have a huge bruise on my thigh. It's 2x3 and purple and disgusting. I was gonna post a picture...but then that would mean my thunder thighs would be on the internets for the world to see. Um yeah no.

I want Vanessa's banana pancakes in my belly right this second.

I probably lost anyone who was reading this post in the first sentence.

Should I be offended by people calling the MBP guys old when it turns out we're the same age? Haha. I wonder if I'd be a 4 on their scale since I'm chunky but funky? Actually I don't care.

I want to go to Disneyland. I want to have breakfast with the characters again. My niece just got an internship there. I'm so happy that she will be a Cali girl again for 5 months. She'll only be 1.5 hours away. Yippee!!!

I'm still not tired. :( I guess I'll watch some TV and clean up my DVR a bit.

Have a great week!!!!!
