Throwback Thursday

I've finally gotten over my issue with another guest blogger who bit my idea and who shall remain nameless, and am moving forward with Throw-Back Thursdays!
(((((cue crowd applause))))

Fraggle Rock - name says it all...who didnt love Red's spunkiness or Mokey's bohemian style?

Like, Omigod! Jem was outrageous, truly truly truly outrageous. I swore that by touching my OWN red star earring; I too, could transform into a rockstar...and like a true fan -

I hated The Misfits too.

As a child - this was my favorite show to watch...so many days I dreamed and wished that "Nanny" was my nanny too...(sssh - please don't tell my mom)

ALF - I especially loved him when his did his "mock surprise" facial expression; bottom jaw to the side and hand/paw over his chest. His never-ending quest to return to his home of Melmac and the pursuit of consuming neighborhood cats kept me forever enthralled. FYI - they are now showing reruns on Cox Cable (ch.26). I tried to watch it; and sat wondering WTH was I thinking back then?

The End...

If you don't know me by nooooowwww......

It still amazes me how many people come by my desk and look at my name plate before greeting me. I mean there are a lot of people in this building, I don't expect EVERYONE to know me... ('cept I kinda do ya know?) but if I've spoken to you weekly for the last 10 months...or had an office RIGHT by you at the old building I just feel like you should be able to greet me without having to check my name plate first. Cause seriously how many Alices' are there around this mug? Before Twilight Alice was either the maid on the Brady bunch or some old lady your grandma plays bridge with at the nursing home.

So....I'm thinking I might switch up my name plate for a couple of days and see who will greet me as "Her Royal Highness" or "Fancy Face" (okay yeah I stole that from DOL* whatevs!) If you have any brilliant ideas for my new name plate....lemme know!

WTF Wednesday

So, when I asked Alice if I could be a guest blogger with my own column, I immediately claimed Wednesday. Why? Because a good title needed to be considered and you can do so much with a "W." Plus, Wednesday is HUMP day and now I get to say that every week if I feel like it.

WTF. I originally wanted to just do a rant every week on something I think is stupid, because you know there's a whole lot of what I think is stupid, but I also realize WTF can stand for lots of other things, so my Wednesday dribble will vary and not always be a bash on what’s ticking me off for the moment..

Since it’s almost Thursday already, this will be a brief one.

WTF (Wednesday Top Five)

This week’s Top Five is for Toys of Our Youth:

1) Cabbage Patch Dolls – some had silky hair to brush and style, some had a little tooth, some were bald, and all of them were a little ugly; but if you were cool at all, you had one (or more) and proudly displayed their “birth” certificates – your slice of parenthood without the dirty diapers or sleepless nights.
*For the record, I was the devoted mother to Kristina, Felicia and Donna Sue. Although, now I think they’re boxed up in the garage. Don’t call social services on me – they’re over 18 now!

2) My Little Pony dolls – pretty ponies that smelled good and we could groom. Plus they had cool things painted on their butts.

3) Transformer’s – me and the bro were playing with these things before Shia LaBeouf was even born. Anyway, nothing beats the originals – the new ones these days are freakin’ complicated and it takes me forever to transform them. Dang it.

4) TIE: Pogo Ball/Hula Hoop – I fell on my ass so many times with the pogo ball, I had to show off my mad skills with the hula hoop just hold my head up.

Psst: That’s not really me!

5) GI Joe Action Figures – Also fun to play with, especially with our blanket forts, but I’m still pissed that my brother never let me use Snake Eyes or Storm Shadow. Jerk.

All right, ladies. What did I miss? What were some of your favorite toys growing up?

Anyway -
What did you think of this type of post? Want something different? We aim to please...

Testing, testing 123

My Dog has issues.....

Don't let him fool you with his cuteness...this dog is a pain in the booty! Lemme tell you why:
  1. He has a crazy toe fetish! If you go near him in flip flops (which I forever am wearing) he will lick your toes!!! Lick 'um like a lollipop!
  2. He SNORES!! (Really this one should be #1 but since I just had my toes licked it was fresh on my mind)
Anywho he snores like a grizzly bear and I hear him ALL night. Seriously, does breathe right make those strips for dogs?
  3. He is a hump- a- lump. If you give him even the slightest opportunity he will love you long time!
But he really is cute isn't he? And he loves us....that's why I can hear him snoring....he has to sleep right outside our bedroom window. Okay fine I love him...there I said it! Geez!
