Hump Day Happies ...at the new job.

I'm sure you are tired of hearing about it.  The new job.  I started on Monday and so far it's....ok.  It's still awkard learning all the new systems and the new personalities.  I really miss my old work friends.  Like REALLY miss.  I'm sure in time I'll get used to this new group and the work flow will start and I won't even have time to think.  I hope it makes the day go by quicker because right now they seem to drag out.

This week I am riding the trolley into work as downtown parking is EXPENSIVE.  It's $120 a month to park in our building.  My employer will pay half and I will be responsible for the other $60.  Not too bad.  The Trolley is $20 a week and it drops me off right behind my work building.  If there weren't so many weirdos I might stick to riding the trolley on the daily.  People watching at it's finest.  Yesterday my heart was warmed by this kid who kept giving up his seat for any woman who got on the trolley at different stops. You RARELY see that these days.

There is a 7-11 in my building at work.  I love 7-11.  This will both be good and bad.  On Monday they gave away free coffee....we still don't know why, but we all got one! :)  If I bring my refill cup the coffee is only $.85, I can handle that.  It's staying away from the snacks that I need to work on!

I'm thinking I'll be able to quit the second job now that I'll be working longer hours and making more money.  I'm giving it one more week and then we'll see.  I was trying to get Gina hired there before I quit but I don't know if that will happen.

Sorry for the rambles today....I'm hoping to get a regular posting schedule done at home.  Wish me luck!

Until next time...........ADIOS!!!!

  1. I'm so glad that it's going good! I LOVE 7-11, so having one in my building would be awesome! If they ever have the Banana's Foster coffee there- GRAB IT. It's my fave.

  3. Oh the trolley.. it seems like a necessary evil considering how expensive it is to park downtown. When we went to comic con they jacked up the parking prices to $30 a DAY. I almost cried, ha!
I'd have so much fun with a 7-11 so handy! I hope you make new work friends soon :)
