Hump Day Happy - [Fall TV]

You know what I'm happy about today? Fall TV is almost back!!!

Oh dear sweet DVR of mine...get ready to earn yo keep sucka! You's gonna have a busy few months. You won't be sitting there with nothing but Days of Our Lives (shhh don't judge-I mean Nicole has Sami's baby and is rasing it as her own and EJ thinks...forget it!) and Family Guy reruns. You get to record REAL TV!!

Here is a run-down of the shows I am addcited to. I should be embarrassed...but I'm not! I am a TV junkie...good show...bad show...who cares it's TV!! :D

1. Grey's Anatomy (9/24)

The cliff hanger was great...I was sitting there screaming "It's O'Malley!! Hello!! O'Malley!!" So we know he's not gonna make it...I mean it's a given he has been trying to get off this show for a while now. The question is...will Izzy go with him?

I'm sorry I can't understand you mangled man...I'm getting married today!

2. The Office (9/17)

A Baby! She's gonna have a baby!! Will these be another reason for Dwight to grease up a watermelon and practice delivering a baby with Michael? I sure as heck hope so!!

How cute is their kid gonna be...I mean seriously!

3. Desperate Housewives (9/27)Okay Yes the show is kinda whack these days...but I still like to see the random Susan Shenanigans. I love her and Mike together...we were robbed of that I say! Mike is getting married again...but to who? Crazy #1 or Crazy#2?

Excuse me veil...you are making it impossible to see the hair color of the bride and um...I need to know now!!!

3. Private Practice (10/1)

I love Addison...but she kinda sucks on this show I mean fur realz...didn't she learn anything from the last time she got caught having an affair? I am disappointed! Seriously. But HELLO! Pyscho baby stealer alert!! Who didn't see that one coming? oh yeah...ME!

I couldn't get this scene/image out of my head...so here you go get it stuck in yours. that B!#tch is CRA-ZEEE!! She is Fur realz with her "I will cut you!" Someone save Violet!

4. 90210 (9/8) this show is sooo lame and trashy and I'm hooked! It started because I LOVED me some OG 90210..this one is way more dirty! These kids are doing things they shouldn't even know about!

Adrianna has been a child actress, drug addict, traded sex for drugs, rehab, pregnancy, baby adoption and she is only like a sophmore! What.the.freak!

5. The Hills (9/29) I Love LC...and she is gone. Will I still love the Hills? Who knows. But I wanna see what Kristen brings to the table. This maybe my last season. (and theirs too!)

P.S. I'm SOOO over Heidi and Spencer.

6. LOST (freakin' 2010!) I LOVE/HATE this show!! It makes me wait super long time to get a new epi!! There's Locke and the "Un-Locke" and the 3 toed statue and the smoke monster...what is going on?? Not to mention the hottie Richard Alpert. Guyliner or Manscara? I don't care you is hot!
But NOT as hot as this guy....

Hey there grouchy...I can make you happy...fur serious.

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!

When I grow up I wanna be famous…

Actually, I have no idea what I want to be. Isn't that sad? I am 3 months and some change away from my 30th birthday and I have no idea what I want to do career wise. As I've said many a time before I always knew I wanted to be a wife and mother….other than that I'm at a loss. The "career" I've been in for the past 9 years is one I used to be passionate about. Maybe it's the place I work now that makes me not want to do it anymore…or maybe I'm just over it. Other than the fact that I NEED my paycheck I have NO motivation to do my job. None. None at all.

So, give me some ideas…what do you think I would be good at? Remember, it needs to make a decent amount of money so I can help provide for my family…cause let's face it a girls' gotta eat…and so does her husband, and her kids and her dog. J

Let's compile a list shall we? We shall.

  1. Teacher – let's be honest kids are punks sometimes. Am I strong enough not to smack them? I don't know.

  2. Marriage/family counselor – How long will this take? Can I afford to go to school forever and a day? Will I cry like I do with my friends when they come to me for advice? I don't know.

  3. Nurse – Will I have to clean poop? Prolly. And again…how long will this take? There is a like a 2-4 year wait for nursing programs at JC's maybe I'll just get on the list in case. :D

  4. Aesthetician – Most of the time the money making days are the weekends….I need my weekends for my family. Right now it's just fun to do it on the side…hhmmm.

  5. Trophy Wife :D – really my most favorite so far. If I could spend my entire day jus' working to look good for my man I would be "BANGIN'" heehee

  6. Please add more! Cause none of these are jumping out at me. Or…do you think it's just the place I work and I need to stick to what I've been doing but find a new place to work? Help me!!

Hump Day Happies....

'Member those little leaguers I told you about the other day? You 'member. Well they did it!! they won the Little League World Series! I love how excited this has gotten our whole community. I love that we feel so close because of these 12 amazin' boys. Last night at cheer practice my girls were swooning over Bulla who paid a visit to his football team. I was like "girls...it's the same Bulla ya'll knew two months ago." But really he's not. And even I got a little star struck for a minute. haha! Anyways there was a BIG welcome home rally on Monday night. The bus came in at almost 10pm...on a school night...yes we were there. Oh and so was Frankie J and George Lopez...Jus' sayin'.

Here is a picture of the crowd when George Lopez arrived to give each boy and the 2 coaches a 32 gig i-touch. He is da man

My boy will be hitting the batting cages daily...shoot I'm tryin' to get celebrity status too! :D It was standing room only on the home side of the stadium. If you look across the field even the visitor side bleachers were pretty full. This Friday is the offical parade followed by another rally at the college. Which just happens to be in my back yard...literally. The high school bestie is coming in from Phoenix even...this is a big deal. I can't wait!

That's it for today!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!!!

Hump Day Happies....

I'm struggling with this one today because I'm in a BAD mood!! I feel like going home sick and hiding in my bed under the covers. But instead I'm here, staying strong.
I have this secret weapon I use to keep me motivated. It's rather personal...but since we're friends and all...I will share. It makes me happy and sad at the same time. Does that make sense? It reminds me that my everyday actions and attitudes affect those around me. If I give up...I make ok for those who look up to me to think that giving up is an option. It's not. So instead I keep on keepin' on!
Here is my secret weapon...it's an e-mail from one of my "weekend kids". She wrote it in class one day in a "quick write" and then sent it to me. So I've kept it and I read it on days like this when I need that extra push.
Journal #8
The most influential person in my life would probably be my cousin Alice. I have always grown up looking up to my cousin and wanting to be just like her. She is very pretty and super smart. I do not know anyone who articulates themselves better than her. To me she is the picture of motherhood. When my mom died she took up the challenge of helping to raise me. She was the one to teach me about being a woman and was always there to listen to my boy problems. My cousin is so funny and everyone likes her. Her life is not perfect but I respect how she overcomes everything with poise and grace. My cousin competed in a beauty pageant and because of that I got involved in pageants. In high school I was so happy that I was a senior standout and that I made top 10 for homecoming court just like her. I can not wait to have a husband like hers and have beautiful kids just like hers. I love my cousin and I hope that one day I will have everything she does. Since I admired her all of my life, it drives me to be an admirable person for her daughter to look up to. My cousin has taught me the value of hard work and how love can change your life. She is my biggest fan and is always proud of everything I do. She is dependable and I love that no matter what happens I can always go to her house to escape. My cousin is one of the greatest people I know and she will always be the most influential person in my life and I hope one day I will be the most influential person in her daughter’s life.
I loves her so. Seriously...you can't even imagine. She is an inspiration...always has been. I'm not going to write anything else about it cause I'll get all teary eyed and this is supposed to be Hump Day Happies for goodness sakes!
So....
What makes you happy?
What motivates you when you need that extra push?
HAPPY HUMP DAY!!

Trueisms....

I got this e-mail last week and have been laughing about random parts of it since. So I figured I'd share the laughter and I bolded the ones I laughed hardest at....I'm such a good friend. :D
I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink to have fun." Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?
I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase "Regards" again.
There is a great need for sarcasm font.
I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually becomes stressful to watch it with other people. I'll end up wasting 90 minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that everyone'slaughing at the right parts, then making sure I laugh just a littlebit harder (and a millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still theonly one who really, really gets it.
How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand thantake 2 trips to bring my groceries in.
I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clearyour computer history if you die.
The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.
A recent study has shown that playing beer pong contributes to the spread of mono and the flu. Yeah, if you suck at it.
Was learning cursive really necessary?
Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".
I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
Answering the same letter three times or more in a row on a Scantrontest is absolutely petrifying.
My brother's Municipal League baseball team is named the Stepdads. Seeing as none of the guys on the team are actual stepdads, I inquired about the name. He explained, "Cuz we beat you, and you hate us."Classy, bro.
Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", allI hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".
How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?
I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a d~ck from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!
While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road andinstinctively swerved to avoid it...thanks Mario Kart.
MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn on the water.
Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
Bad decisions make good stories.
Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!
Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier & sluttier every year?
If Carmen San Diego and Waldo ever got together, their offspring would probably just be completely invisible.
Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to goaround and say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm from, this shouldn't be a problem....
You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren’t doing anything productive for the rest of the day.
Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my collection.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you aregoing to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
"Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this ever.
I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watchingTV. There's so much pressure. 'I love this show, but will they judge me if I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing we weren’t watching this. It's only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still be friends after this?'
While watching the Olympics, I find myself cheering equally for China and USA. No, I am not of Chinese descent, but I am fairly certain that when Chinese athletes don’t win, they are executed.
I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello?Damnit!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times andgoes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phoneand run away?
I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
When I meet a new girl, I'm terrified of mentioning something she hasn't already told me but that I have learned from some lightinternet stalking.
I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs in my iTunes.
Why is a school zone 20 mph? That seems like the optimal cruising speed for pedophiles...
As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.
Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
It should probably be called Unplanned Parenthood.
I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
I think that if, years down the road when I’m trying to have a kid, Ifind out that I’m sterile, most of my disappointment will stem fromthe fact that I was not aware of my condition in college.
Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to with it.
Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their carkeys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I’d bet my ass everyone can find and push the Snoozebutton from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time...
My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what wouldhappen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?
It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the link takes me to a video instead of text.
I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the speed limit.
I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lites than Kay.
The other night I ordered takeout, and when I looked in the bag, saw they had included four sets of plastic silverware. In other words, someone at the restaurant packed my order, took a second to think about it, and then estimate d that there must be at least four people eating to require such a large amount of food. Too bad I was eating bymyself. There’s nothing like being made to feel like a fat bastard
HAPPY MONDAY!!!!

Hump Day Happies....

I just thought of that title right now and I'm still laughing. I just love the thought of it. 'Cept that I have the WORST headache right now and we got notice at work that "social networking" sites are now being monitored...blogger included! LAME!!!

Anyways...there is something that makes me happy today....our local little league team is going to the Little League World Series! It's so exciting to see kids I know on TV doing their thang and making our community proud.

You know what else I love?? That these kids are keepin' it real...under their names during their at bats on Sunday it listed favorite foods. There wasn't Pizza or Spaghetti as you would expect, like I said they.is.keepin'.it.real! They listed Carne Asada, Chorizo burritos and spam and rice to name a few. One kid on the other team (who were great kids!) listed artichokes...seriously it made me giggle. It also made me giggle that there were probably people in Arkansas watching the same game on ESPN2 thinking "what the heck is a Chorizos?" hahaha! Really you don't want to know...it's just hecka delish! Trust me!

So I asked my little Leaguer what he would like as his favorite food and he said "DUH! CARNE ASADA FRIES" They look kinda gross right? But I'm telling you they are heaven! French Fries smothered in guacamole, sour cream, cheese and carne asada. It doesn't get any better than that!

OH WAIT...maybe it does....Carne Asada Chips! Same as above 'cept it's all on top of tortilla chips instead of Fries. I like the crunch. :D

Anyways way to go PVLL!! We are proud of you! Reppin' the West at the LLWS!! Win or Lose you boys have kept it real along the way! Great Job!

That's all for Hump Day Happies today....until next time!

Random smiles on my phone

I take lots of pictures on my phone. Too many really. I have 631 pictures on my phone right now. No joke...631. So here are some random pictures from this past week of things that made me smile.

My medicine cabinet fell off the wall and tried to kill me. Why did that make me smile? Because I lived! You failed medicine cabinet! I.is.alive! To top it off My Rock brought out his drill to secure you back where you belong...he's sexy with that drill in hand. So thanks for not killing me and thanks for giving me a reason to watch my Rock work his drill.

I left this mess in the sink all day. I was late to work. Magic elves cleaned up while I was gone. (ok it was my Mom...she comes over e'ry day and I usually find something cleaned or cooked)

I worked at my annual carnival at my church. We ran the bean bag toss and made $700 in two days for the church. Not too shabby! You know what else is great...all the Meshican food that surrounds us when we are there. Tamales, Pozole, Tacos, Enchiladas...you name it, it's there!

This is a picture of "Senora Madrigal's" Infamous enchiladas. Seriously there was a line around the side of the parking lot waiting for these. They were soooo worth it!

I went to see No Doubt again...They rock so hard! Gwen is freakin' awesome and I am seriously girl crushing on her. I went with the bestie Lizzy this time and we had fun wandering the parking lot afterwards looking for our ride. If my phone had flash I would have soooo many more hilar pix to share. :( This was our view from the lawn where we enjoyed Panic at the Disco and the beginning of ND's set. It really wasn't bad. No one tried to start a mosh pit this time either.

This is where we ended up. Almost made it to the front. Next time!

I finally rocked my new hat. In the car on the way home from work. I'm not sure why it was in my car...but it was a nice day so I opened the windows and sunroof and enjoyed the traffic jam. Threw the hat on to keep the hair outta my lipgloss.

I LOVE hats. Love them and my new sunglasses too...but seriously I need more hats.

Breakfast sandwich maker extraodinaire Kevin...see his cool name tag? :D Kevin works in our new cafe in our shining new building. I visit Kevin at least twice a week...I don't ALWAYS get something off the grill...but when I do he hooks it up. I also know who he is crushing on so it's fun to mess with him...no worries I can see him as he makes my food!
Look at this thing...it's a beaut! I can feel my arteries clogging just looking at it.

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!
